Ubisoft reveals new Tom Clancy title XDefiant

Ubisoft San Fransisco just announced a new Tom Clancy title called XDefiant. You can be one of the first to test it out by going to the Tom Clancy XDefiant website and registering. The first beta testing will begin on August 5th.

The reveal trailer looks really good, and the graphics look stunning. It appears to be Ubisoft’s free-to-play fps response to the popular Call of Duty Multiplayer. The 6v6 fps arena-style shooter will feature personalized load-outs, factions, ultimates, and more, with what the devs call a heavy focus on “shooter first.” They went on to clarify that their goal is to ensure that since it’s a first-person shooter that they want to make sure the guns in XDefiant are as realistic and as satisfying to use as possible.

While the game is still in development, Ubisoft wants to get feedback from players and fans of the genre to ensure this new entry into the arena shooter landscape is a success. If you are a PC player and want to check it out, be sure to register early to reserve your spot.

Tom Clancy’s XDefiant is a free-to-play, fast-paced, first-person shooter. It combines intense gunplay with personalized loadouts and specialized factions as teams of gunfighters, called Defiants, battle for domination. Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant features playable factions from the Tom Clancy universe and beyond, each with unique abilities. Pair that with an arsenal of primary and secondary weapons, attachments, and devices to complete your loadout, and go to battle with a variety of maps and modes.
