Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered coming November 12, 2020, to PS5

The remaster includes Ray-Traced reflections and much more.

What’s the skinny? PlayStation announced today that if you purchase the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales: Ultimate Edition, you will receive a voucher code for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

The remastered Spider-Man features many upgrades to models and materials, city environments, Ray-Traced reflections, and ambient shadows. They have also updated things like the sky and weather, as well as the character models themselves. The character models have received updated skin, teeth shaders, and the hair is now individually-rendered strands.

They also went as far as to recast the actor who portrays Peter Parker. John Bubniak was the original actor, but the developers wanted to bring the remaster more inline with the current movie actor, so they went with Ben Jordan as the new face model for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

The remaster will take full advantage of the PS5s hardware and offer faster loading times over the original, Spatial 3D Audio on compatible headphones, Ray-Tracing, DualSense controller’s haptic feedback, and a performance mode that will target 60 fps.
