What’s the skinny? AMD took to Twitter moments ago to show off the new cooler design for the upcoming RDNA2, Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs. The tweet also has a code for a Fortnite Creative Island where you can get an up-close look at the new design.
AMD like NVIDIA has dropped the blower-style cooler in favor of a more effective AIB style cooler. NVIDIA opted for a 2 fan and heatsink, while AMD has gone with a 3 fan design, which looks good IMO, much better than the RX 5000 series cards. The I/O of the RX 6000 Series seems to also include a USB-C port, something NVIDIA is dropping on their new 3000 series of cards.
If you don’t have Fortnite installed @NateOrb hooked everyone up with some screen shots.
Hopefully, we get some more teasers between now and the launch announcement AMD Radeon has planned for October 28th.
