AMD launch dates announced: Zen 3 launch event coming October 8, RDNA 2 on October 28

AMD's turn to drive the hype train.

What’s the skinny? A series of tweets earlier today, one from AMD Ryzen and another from Radeon, gave us the launch dates enthusiasts have been waiting for.

Ever since Jensen, Huang gave us the details on the upcoming NVIDIA 30 Series graphics cards from the comfort of his kitchen. PC enthusiasts have been speculating whether or not AMD can compete with what appears to be a strong upcoming release from NVIDIA; those enthusiasts won’t have to wait much longer, as the launch event is coming October 28th.

There have also been those waiting to see if AMD can finally surpass Intel in the single-core performance race. Many believe this is the release that will see AMD take that crown. Those with their eye on that race won’t have to wait long as the release event is officially less than a month away.
