Spotify unveils version one of it’s video podcast

Put a face to the voice with Spotify video podcasts.

What’s the skinny? Spotify debuts it’s first iteration of video podcast. Select creators can now bring us both audio and video content. Spotify says they are hoping that “through these visuals, fans can get to know their favorite podcast hosts even better, and creators can more deeply connect with their audiences.”

The new video content is available for both free and premium users. Some of the initial content will come from Book of Basketball 2.0, Fantasy Footballers, The Misfits Podcast, H3 Podcast, The Morning Toast, Higher Learning with Van Lathan & Rachel Lindsay, and The Rooster Teeth Podcast.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, as more creators are likely to join the platform in the near future. Spotify has already announced that Joe Rogan’s podcast would be joining the platform later this year. The video podcasts will be viewable in all markets that support podcasts.
