Dr. Lisa Su reassures us that Zen three is on track for a 2020 launch and is looking great in the labs

AMD president and CEO says Ryzen 4000 series CPU's are looking great in the labs.

What’s the skinny? AMD’s Dr. Lisa Su in a video posted to AMD’s YouTube Channel reassures us that Ryzen 4000 series CPU’s are still on track to launch before the end of 2020.

The video was released in celebration of the first anniversary of last years highly successful launch of the 7nm Ryzen 3000 series CPU’s as well as the 7nm Radeon 5000 series GPU’s. The video also gave Dr. Lisa Su the opportunity to officially introduce The new Ryzen XT line-up that includes the Ryzen 3600 XT, 3800 XT and the Ryzen 3900 XT. The video is only a minute and 39 seconds long but Su managed to pack a lot of information into the short but sweet video.

The AMD CEO and president put to rest all the speculation that the Zen 3 launch would be delayed until 2021. Either due to COVID-19 which has caused launch delays of other companies products around the world, or due to the sheer success of 3rd Gen Ryzen. The 3000 series CPU’s have been selling so well and fairing so well against the competition that some believed AMD would delay the release of Ryzen 4000 CPU’s until they had more reason to do so. Lisa Su assured us that this was not the case and a 2020 launch will happen as planned.
